Our Strata-Star-5 manufactured by Geo. E. Failing Company affectionately known as “Lil Brutus” can provide Tubex-Air Rotary, H.S.A. and Diamond Coring for projects in the most unusual places. Lil Brutus can become capable of being crane lifted, trailer-mounted, or over water barge ready.

River & Overwater Barge Drilling Click to view additional Barge Drilling images Our company has become the premiere in-water geotechnical drilling services company on the Snake River and it's tributaries along with regular work on the Columbia River. Environmental West has provided geotechnical investigations at all of the dams on the Lower Snake and McNary Dam on the Columbia. Utilizing our 125 ft. x 50 ft. sectional spud barge which is outfitted with five different “Moon Pools,” even the most difficult sites can be accessed. For smaller tributaries and lake drilling programs we also have our FLEXIFLOAT Spud Barge which is assembled on-site with crane services provided by the company.

This involvement regularly included remote helicopter access projects. This experience and knowledge has been invaluable when we have received projects that demand technical precision and safety to all concerned. Collectively, the company has over 80 years of technically demanding helicopter logistics experience. On occasion when helicopter access is not necessary we can provide crane service to lower equipment over hillsides, cliffs and into difficult access areas.
